I have felt for a long time, that there is more to life, than what I am currently experiencing. I feel that there is a lot of loving energy lying untouched. It is not growing, it is even shrinking. In my work, I always set everything around me in motion, and in daily life, I don’t know how to deal with this.
Last winter I took a period of self-examination and introspection. I really need to do something to restore the trust I am slowly losing in humanity.
There are more people who feel the same way and I suspect it is the vast majority. This group wants to live in harmony and help each other. However, our entire life we have been confronted with a lot of judgments, and in order to belong to the group, we have incorporated these judgments, much to our regret.
I was amazed when I first saw my uncle-in-law, as a child. American, tall, dark-black skin and frizzy hair. Full of wonder I looked at this man, who looked at me kindly and confidently. I have since realized, that if this first encounter had been a fearful one, it would have set the tone for my judgments for the rest of my life. I am grateful that I was able to experience this first encounter with someone who looks very different from me as positive and to have the awareness of the importance of this first encounter.
Judgments can change over the years. They can be adjusted, both helping and not helping. If we would all continue to examine whether our judgments are justified, or whether there is another side to the coin, we would make progress as humanity.
We need to start thinking for ourselves, seek out the nuances, and stand up for other views on social media as well. For long enough the focus has been on the differences, look at the similarities too.
How can I contribute to the awareness towards everyone? By setting an example. That is very important, but on a small scale. I want to propagate the ideas and activate the large benevolent group. We are too quiet and must let ourselves be heard and seen. Not forming camps, but embracing and nurturing justice and love.
With the founding of Clan of Humans, I hope to set the world in motion, to seek each other out from authenticity and show understanding for each other. Let love grow again!
